What is a raspa?

“Raspa” probably comes from the Spanish verb “raspar,” to scrape. A raspa, then, or raspado, as some people call it, is a portion of ice scrapings collected in a cup and drenched in various syrup flavorings. Simple flavors, like grape, banana, or strawberry, can be combined or added upon to create more unconventional flavors.
